Our Aims

At Treetops we aim to provide a safe, secure and relaxed place for children to play and give parents peace of mind enabling them to continue or return to work. Our club follows the Playwork Principles, children are free to choose activities and resources as they wish.

There will always be a selection of activities and resources available,

  • art and craft activities
  • computers & Wii/PS3 consoles
  • cookery activities
  • board games and jigsaws
  • TV area
  • air hockey
  • organised trips in holidays
  • outdoor games
  • opportunity to develop interests
  • football table
  • lots of Lego
  • embroidery and knitting

In addition other resources are available for the children to select from our equipment library.

We have our own dedicated area within Mereside CE Primary School and use of the school’s excellent facilities such as indoor hall space for energetic play in bad weather. A super outdoor play area and use of the playing fields and playground allow children a release at the end of a busy day. We believe children should be able to play outside as much as possible and allow them to access some time each session to do this (weather permitting!)

Treetops has a friendly atmosphere where children are recognised and valued as individuals.
