 🎃 October Half Term & Newsletter 🎃

Dear Parents and Carers,

It seems only a moment ago we were planning the summer holiday programme and now October half term is nearly around the corner.

We have a fun week of activities planned with an optional dress up day on our Halloween Fun and games day. The activities will start after lunch on 31st October.

As well as the full week we will also be opening for the PD Day on Monday 4th November.

A reminder for your diary – we do not open over the Christmas holidays.

🐣 Easter Holidays 🐣

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are delighted to open bookings for the Easter Holidays. We have a fun packed programme to keep all the children busy with an Easter egg hunt, sweet treats, cooking and a mad science show delivered by DNA Kids.

Fingers crossed for lots of spring weather as we know the children love spending time outdoors.

If your child has not attended in the school holidays before, we are open from 7.30am to 6pm and you can book for any number of days or hours required.

HAF Bookings

For the first week of the Easter holidays we are pleased to announce we have again received funding through the DfE HAF scheme.

If you are eligible, your child’s school will send you a unique code which you need to use on our booking form. Please complete with the sessions required.

Sessions available are from 9am to 1pm, Monday 3rd April to Thursday 6th April and will include a freshly prepared packed lunch provided by Coleham Deli.

😎 Summer Holiday Fun! 😎

Dear Parents and Carers,

With the summer holidays just around the corner we are delighted to publish our programme of activities.

We have lots planned to make it a really fun summer. My favourite (which I will make sure I’m on the rota for) is the alpaca experience where we will be able to walk some alpacas around the school field!

Other visitor activities include The Shropshire Wildlife Trust and a science worksop on rockets. Also the return of the very popular Arthog day, climbing up the tower and canoeing on The Mere.

We are also delighted to be participating in The HAF programme, providing food and holiday activities for children eligible to receive free school meals.

If you are not registered with Treetops you will need to complete a registration form and privacy notice as well as a summer booking form.

Printed forms are also available to collect from Treetops. Links below to print off your own forms at home.

🌈 May Half Term & Some Very Exciting News! 🌈

Dear Parents,

We are delighted to announce our exciting news that Katy is returning to Treetops ready for the half term holiday! She missed the fun working environment of Treetops and the children too much to stay away!

She will be returning for the half term holiday and then has some leave booked so her first day back for breakfast and after school with be Wednesday 15th June.

Bookings are now open for the May Half Term holiday, please compete the attached booking form (click on the blue link below) if you need to use us for the 3 days we are open.

Please remember to send in suntan cream in a named bottle during the holidays. Your child will not be allowed outside without it.

September before and after school sessions

There are some days with very limited availability in September due to the new intake of Reception children. If you need to add any additional sessions or change existing bookings please let us know as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointment.

Gate Code

Another reminder not to disclose the gate code to any children, thank you for your cooperation on this matter.

🌸 Spring Newsletter, Easter Holidays & HAF Scheme 🌸

Dear Parents and Carers,

It feels like spring might be around the corner and with the lighter evenings we hope to be organising lots more games outside.

Please find attached a copy of our Spring newsletter.

Bookings are now open for the Easter Holidays, please complete the attached form if you require childcare during the 8 days we are open.

We are delighted to be offering places again as part of the Department for Education HAF scheme. Please complete the relevant form if your child is eligible.

Dear Parents and Carers,

Bookings are now open for February Half Term and the PD Day on Friday 18th February. Our booking forms show the main adult led activities for each day but we allow children to plan their day with us.

Please return the booking form (below) as soon as possible if you need childcare for this holiday. Hard copies are also available to collect from Treetops.

🐣 Wider Opening and Easter Holidays 🐣

Dear Parents and Carers,

With all children returning to school on Monday 8th March we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back. Although we have remained open throughout this lockdown for  critical workers and vulnerable children there are many families we have not seen since before Christmas.

If your child uses our before or after school sessions the same sessions have been held open for them, unless you gave us notice to surrender your child’s place (as per our terms and conditions).

Please continue to observe social distancing guidelines and all other Covid restrictions when dropping off or collecting your child from Treetops.

Easter Holidays

We will be open to all children during the Easter holidays providing you need childcare to enable you to work, continue with education/training or attend a medical or support appointment. For the Easter holidays at least, you are not allowed to send your child for the purposes of socialising with other children. This will hopefully change for May half term providing the Covid levels continue to fall and we know many children have really missed being allowed to play with their friends.

If you require childcare over the Easter holidays, please complete and return the form below as soon as possible. Hard copies are available to collect from Treetops.

Gate Security

Dear Parents,

We are concerned about the number of children that now appear to know the code to the green gate which is used to access the site.

Under NO circumstances should children be given this code as it breaches our safeguarding policy. It not only affects the security of children attending Treetops but also the children atending Mereside School.

With imediate effect the code has been changed and you will receive a text with the new code.

If your child attends during school holidays please ring our landline or mobile on the first day of attendance and we will give you the new code.

Thank you for your co operation in this matter, we take security very seriously.

👻 October Half Term & PD Day 👻

Dear Parents,

It has been lovely to see all our children back with us at the start of term and we welcome lots of new children too. With half term just over a month away we are now taking bookings for the half term week and the PD day on Friday 23rd October.

We will be open for full days 7.30am to 6pm and in addition to our Halloween based art and craft activities we have planned team games and sports outside where the weather allows us.

The robust measures we put in place for the summer holidays with additional cleaning, hand washing and splitting the children into two key stages are working well and will continue through the half term holiday in order to keep everyone safe.

A reminder that we will not be open over the Christmas Holidays and finish at 6pm on Friday 18th December and re open for Before and After School on Tuesday 5th January 2021
