🌸 May Half Term 🌸

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are now taking bookings for the May Half Term Holiday. We will be open to all children, for the 4 days of the half term.

Our Easter Holiday programme of activities was a huge success and the children enjoyed our new cookery activities, The Nerf wars games with our new equipment was a hit, particularly with our older children.

May Half Term sees more cookery activities planned and and lots of art and craft along with our usual child led activities, playing outside and creating.

We will continue to follow the latest Covid19 advice from PHE and The DfE and if there are any changes to how we operated during the Easter Holidays we will keep you informed.

If you require childcare for this holiday please complete and return the attached booking form below.

May half term 21

Mereside Parents – Thursday 1st April

Dear Parents,

As Mereside have announced they will be closing early on the 1st April at 11.45am/12pm we will be providing an extra session from 11.45am to 3pm for parents who need additional childcare. The cost will be £11.00 per child. If you would like to book a place please let us know via email, julia@treetopskidsclub.co.uk or send a message via our Famly app.

We will be open for our usual sessions before and after school on this day but if you require the extra session your child will need a packed lunch. A mid afternoon snack will be provided.

🐣 Wider Opening and Easter Holidays 🐣

Dear Parents and Carers,

With all children returning to school on Monday 8th March we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back. Although we have remained open throughout this lockdown for  critical workers and vulnerable children there are many families we have not seen since before Christmas.

If your child uses our before or after school sessions the same sessions have been held open for them, unless you gave us notice to surrender your child’s place (as per our terms and conditions).

Please continue to observe social distancing guidelines and all other Covid restrictions when dropping off or collecting your child from Treetops.

Easter Holidays

We will be open to all children during the Easter holidays providing you need childcare to enable you to work, continue with education/training or attend a medical or support appointment. For the Easter holidays at least, you are not allowed to send your child for the purposes of socialising with other children. This will hopefully change for May half term providing the Covid levels continue to fall and we know many children have really missed being allowed to play with their friends.

If you require childcare over the Easter holidays, please complete and return the form below as soon as possible. Hard copies are available to collect from Treetops.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch via the Famly App, email, telephone or Facebook page.

Easter 2021

PD Day Mereside School

Dear Parents,

There is an additional PD Day for children attending Mereside School only, on Monday 30th November.

We will be open for a full day on this day 7.30am to 6pm. Please email julia@treetopskidclub.co.uk with the drop off and collection times if you require childcare in order that we can arrange staffing.

We will be providing our usual after school service for those children who attend St Giles School and are booked in with us on that day.

Gate Security

Dear Parents,

We are concerned about the number of children that now appear to know the code to the green gate which is used to access the site.

Under NO circumstances should children be given this code as it breaches our safeguarding policy. It not only affects the security of children attending Treetops but also the children atending Mereside School.

With imediate effect the code has been changed and you will receive a text with the new code.

If your child attends during school holidays please ring our landline or mobile on the first day of attendance and we will give you the new code.

Thank you for your co operation in this matter, we take security very seriously.

Best wishes,

👻 October Half Term & PD Day 👻

Dear Parents,

It has been lovely to see all our children back with us at the start of term and we welcome lots of new children too. With half term just over a month away we are now taking bookings for the half term week and the PD day on Friday 23rd October.

We will be open for full days 7.30am to 6pm and in addition to our Halloween based art and craft activities we have planned team games and sports outside where the weather allows us.

The robust measures we put in place for the summer holidays with additional cleaning, hand washing and splitting the children into two key stages are working well and will continue through the half term holiday in order to keep everyone safe.

Please click on the link below and complete the booking form if you require childcare during half term.

A reminder that we will not be open over the Christmas Holidays and finish at 6pm on Friday 18th December and re open for Before and After School on Tuesday 5th January 2021

😀 Update on the Summer Holidays 😀

🌈  We can confirm we will be open for our full summer holiday programme 7.30am to 6pm from 20th July through to Tuesday 1st September. Term starts on Wednesday 2nd September 2020.

Once you have booked a place we will be in touch to let you know our new procedure for the summer holidays and the steps we have put in place to make TreeTops as Covid secure as is possible. Your child’s safety is our top priority but we also want to ensure that they have fun and enjoy socialising with other children again.

If you have not booked a place already for the summer and require childcare, please let us know as soon as possible as we will be organising our staffing shortly. We look forward to welcoming back lots of your children. It has been a long 3 and a half months! 😎

☀️ Summer Holidays 2020 ☀️

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your understanding and cooperation since we had to close at the end of March. I know that this period has been challenging for many families, in particular when you have had to juggle work commitments with managing childcare, if you have children with special educational needs or disability, or if you are a single parent.

We are working hard to take the necessary steps to be ready to welcome back all children for the summer holidays. We will open only if the government make it safe and viable to do so allowing us to create small daily bubbles of children.

The current guidance does allow Kids Clubs based in schools to open providing they can maintain the same school bubbles of children. As we cannot do this, this is the reason we have remained closed for breakfast and after school sessions.

However, with the school closed over the summer we will be able to create our own small groups so we are making plans to re open on Monday 20th July.

For the vast majority of children and young people, coronavirus is a mild illness. Some categories of children with specific serious health conditions should not attend their childcare setting. If you are unsure whether your child should attend the setting due to a health condition that they or someone they live with has, please contact us so we can discuss the details with you and ask your GP for advice.

The full guidelines are due to be published at the beginning of July which would not provide a lot of time for us to make plans, hence why we are sending out booking forms now. In the event of the government preventing us from opening you will not be charged for any sessions booked.

Further details will follow outlining our full safety procedures and how we will organise drop off and collection of children attending TreeTops.

We are not publishing our full activity programme with details of what will be going on each day as we will need a certain amount of flexibility. However, those of you that are familiar with our holiday care know we provide at least 2 main adult led activities each day such as art and craft and cooking etc. We are hoping to include all of these in our summer programme (adapted to follow government guidelines on safety and hygiene). We will be outside as much as possible and making sure your children have the opportunity to HAVE FUN!

If you would like to book for summer holiday care please return the booking form (PDF and Word docx available) as soon as possible. As soon as the guidelines are published we will let you know more details. Please also keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.

Best wishes,

Julia and the TreeTops Team

Our Easter Holiday booking forms are now available and we are open for bookings. Please be aware that our planned trips to Park Hall Farm and Ten Pin Bowling may change at short notice if the venue is closed.

We are closely following the situation around covid 19/Coronavirus and will be following the advice set out by the government. This also applies to any new continuous coughs your child may develop and if anyone in the household is presenting with symptoms.
