Dear Parents and Carers,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your understanding and cooperation since we had to close at the end of March. I know that this period has been challenging for many families, in particular when you have had to juggle work commitments with managing childcare, if you have children with special educational needs or disability, or if you are a single parent.
We are working hard to take the necessary steps to be ready to welcome back all children for the summer holidays. We will open only if the government make it safe and viable to do so allowing us to create small daily bubbles of children.
The current guidance does allow Kids Clubs based in schools to open providing they can maintain the same school bubbles of children. As we cannot do this, this is the reason we have remained closed for breakfast and after school sessions.
However, with the school closed over the summer we will be able to create our own small groups so we are making plans to re open on Monday 20th July.
For the vast majority of children and young people, coronavirus is a mild illness. Some categories of children with specific serious health conditions should not attend their childcare setting. If you are unsure whether your child should attend the setting due to a health condition that they or someone they live with has, please contact us so we can discuss the details with you and ask your GP for advice.
The full guidelines are due to be published at the beginning of July which would not provide a lot of time for us to make plans, hence why we are sending out booking forms now. In the event of the government preventing us from opening you will not be charged for any sessions booked.
Further details will follow outlining our full safety procedures and how we will organise drop off and collection of children attending TreeTops.
We are not publishing our full activity programme with details of what will be going on each day as we will need a certain amount of flexibility. However, those of you that are familiar with our holiday care know we provide at least 2 main adult led activities each day such as art and craft and cooking etc. We are hoping to include all of these in our summer programme (adapted to follow government guidelines on safety and hygiene). We will be outside as much as possible and making sure your children have the opportunity to HAVE FUN!
If you would like to book for summer holiday care please return the booking form (PDF and Word docx available) as soon as possible. As soon as the guidelines are published we will let you know more details. Please also keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates.
